The best way to start your Brighton Howell Area adventure is with a cup of joe. Luckily, the area is full of locally owned coffee shops that offer a welcoming feel and delicious coffee, teas, pastries, and even cocktails. On your next stop through the Brighton Howell area, forget about those big-name coffee shops and check out these unique spots.
If you have a passion for rare and unusual coffee – Brighton Coffeehouse and Theater is the place for you. This updated bank building turned coffeehouse utilizes international coffee beans that are ground daily and uniquely roasted to bring out the most intense flavors. Fresh coffee beans put the coffeehouse in this downtown location and live music and open mic nights fill the Theater.
Originally built in 1893 as the Howell Travel building, this spot has been a go-to for coffee lovers since 2002. This historic coffeehouse serves traditional coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, and freshly baked pastries. Uptown Coffeehouse serves Crimson Cup coffee, an exceptional craft, and specialty brand. Ask any local where to go to have a fresh cup of coffee and a delicious pastry all while getting your work done, they’ll send you to Uptown.
The Peaberry Bean and Beats is a unique café and music school duo. This cozy coffee shop was established in 2011 and is known to be the “heart” of the Whitmore Lake community. Along with their gourmet coffee and specialty lattes, the menu also offers homemade soups, deli sandwiches, and baked goods.
Black Iron Coffee Roasters is a small-batch coffee roaster specializing in single-source regional coffees. They have both breakfast and lunch menus to pair with your perfect blend. There is plenty of room in the shop to find a quiet space to work or to chat with friends.
A quick trip to the coffee shop might be what you need to start the day. Here in the Brighton Howell Area, we have multiple options for a visitor to indulge in their favorite caffeinated drink.
