The Kensington Metropark can keep all ages entertained. Being home to many activities, such as biking, swimming, and boating, we can see why the park is attractive to both residents and visitors of Livingston County. The park also offers a 27-hole disc golf course, which attracts avid disc golfers across the United States. This course has become even more popular with the help of the Discraft Great Lakes Open, a sanctioned singles disc golf tournament. The tournament is presented by the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) and will be held Friday, July 5th through Sunday, July 7th. Players will be coming from 28 states and even one from New Zealand.
There are currently over 170 players have registered for the 2019 Discraft Great Lakes Open. The tournament is for both professionals and amateurs. Professionals play all three days on the Toboggan course and amateurs play Saturday and Sunday on the blue and green lack Locus course. The tournament is free and open to the public but there is a $10 per day vehicle permit required to enter the park if you do not have an annual Metropark permit.

The course is open to the public and disc golf is also available at the Chilson Woods Disc Golf Course in the Brighton Recreation Area.
