Communications & Partnership Manager

Job Title: Communications & Partnership Manager

Status: Salaried, Exempt
Type: Full-time, hybrid

Explore Brighton Howell Area (Livingston County Convention & Visitors Bureau) is growing! As the official destination marketing organization for Livingston County to meeting and event planners and visitors, we are looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm and excitement for promoting and developing the visitor experience for Livingston County. This is a dynamic role that has a partner and visitor focus.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establishes connection and acts as a communication resource between Explore Brighton Howell Area and its tourism partners, event managers, community, media, and related organizations
  • Manages the partnership database (CRM), including contact information and business details
  • Manages Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) program including enrollment, tracking CRM, handling materials, logistics, recruitment, engagement, renewal/retention, communications, and co-training of ambassadors
  • Updates explorebrightonhowellarea.com with accurate partner listings and capturing partner events for website and newsletters
  • Engages with hospitality and tourism community partners to connect them with sales and marketing opportunities
  • Using knowledge of the Livingston County community, assists with logistical details for periodic media/meeting planner FAM tours, press conferences, and events
  • Source and generate content for visitor e-newsletter by activity (ex. golf, wedding, biking)
  • Controls logistics for workshop sessions hosted by Explore BHA with respect to resources and tools available to visitors and or partners
  • Hosts visitor welcome tables at events, festivals, or meetings
  • Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Hospitality, Marketing, or related or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of marketing, business development, or community relations experience preferred
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously is required

  • Feedback friendly – willing to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Comfortable in relaxed working culture – work with fun and connection
  • Basic knowledge of CRM, MailChimp, and WordPress or desire to learn
  • Excellent verbal, written, and problem-solving communication skills
  • Work effectively across a variety of communication channels: in-person, phone, email, live chat, social media, etc.
