Celebrate America’s Independence with a weekend full of activities in Whitmore Lake. Kick off the weekend with the Whitmore Lake Fireworks taking place right on the water. The show starts at dusk, but is recommended you get there early to grab a parking spot and a place to sit!
On Friday, kick off the holiday with the Annual Kiwanis 4th of July Parade starting at 10:00 am. The parade begins on Barker Road in Whitmore Lake and proceeds south down Main Street, ending at the Northfield Township Public Safety Building (8350 Main St., Whitmore Lake). Be sure to save room for the Banana Split Eating Contest at 2:30 pm. Contestants in four age groups (4-9, 10-14, 15-17, 18+) can dive into a banana split for various prizes. Register at Dee’s Place between 1:45 and 2:15pm (Cost – $2) space is limited.
Free Parking – For the fireworks
Parking will be at the new Northfield Community Park.
From the north, enter from Main Street
From the south, enter from Barker Road
Following the signs and volunteer parking helpers.
