Black Locust Disc Golf Course
Black Locust Disc Golf Course is a series of two 18-hole disc golf courses in Kensington Metropark. As one of the most disc golfer-friendly courses in the area, any experienced player can enjoy all 36 holes. When you arrive, you’ll find the check-in shed with a friendly attendant ready to get you started. Don’t forget a scorecard and pencil to keep track of your shots.
The front half of the Black Locust is the South Green course. Each hole on this course is known to have a longer fairway, many over 400 feet, which is a good test of your shooting direction. You’ll find some shorter holes that offer a break from the lengthy fairways as you play. Each basket is marked with a green rim to help you stay on track for each hole.
The back half of the Black Locust is the North Blue course. This half is known for having more water, hence the blue basket theme. Over the 18 holes, you’ll practice a variety of shots. With the highly wooded area and occasional pond, bug spray is recommended when spending the afternoon on North Blue.
A day wristband to play at both Black Locust Disc Golf Courses costs $3.
