The Hartland Ice House at Hartland Sports Complex is your northern Brighton Howell Area destination for an indoor skating experience. Whether you’re a seasoned skater looking for a place to skate or coming in for a tournament, the Hartland Ice House is a great option.

Walking into the Hartland Sports Complex building, you enter the lobby equipped with the Perfect Edge skate shop, vending options, a snack bar, and seating. You can regularly attend sticks and pucks, public skating, and hockey skills sessions.

The ice house has two regulation-size ice sheets: Pond and Stadium. The Stadium sheet is built in arena style with plenty of seating for spectators and onlookers. The stadium rink can also be viewed inside the Top Shelf Pub and Grub restaurant. The Pond ice arena is geared more towards training and practice.

Upstairs at the Hartland Sports Complex, you’ll find the athlete and family-friendly Top Shelf Pub and Grub restaurant. They have “pre-game” appetizer options like mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, gouda mac and cheese bites, and nachos. There is also a variety of salads and pizza with toasted breadsticks.

The star of the many is Hallboy Barbeque smoked meats, platters, and combos. No matter your choice of meat, it is dry rubbed and smoked to perfection, including sliced beef brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken, and ribs. One of their must-try items is the loaded cornbread, also known as the Hallboy Special: sweet cornbread topped with baked beans and your choice of mea,t drizzled with sweet BBQ sauce.

The food is fantastic, but the view is almost better: watch the game at the Stadium Arena while you eat!
