Fantasy of Lights Parade

The official kick-off to the holiday season happens at the Annual Fantasy of Lights Parade. Experience the festive cheer of illuminated floats covered with over 10,000 lights parading through downtown Howell. This beloved event emphasises the true small-town magic that takes over the downtown area during the holiday season. Family-friendly activities take place throughout the afternoon before the nighttime parade kicks off.

Parking:

Public parking is available in downtown lots and surrounding streets. Arrive early, as spaces fill up quickly.

Family-Friendly Activities:

Cleary’s Peppermint Path: Opens around 3:30 PM featuring visits with live reindeer, letters to Santa station, the Bear Factory plush-making booth, and a green interactive trailer.
Photos with Santa: Scheduled from approximately 4:00–5:45 PM in Veterans War Memorial Park
Fantasy 5K & Family Walk: Start around 6:00 PM, including a fun costume contest whmi.com+1downtownhowell.org+1
The Parade: Launches at 7:00 PM on Grand River Avenue, showcasing illuminated floats, marching bands, performers, and Santa as the grand finale
