Spring Mill Pond
Spring Mill Pond Beach is located inside of Island Lake Recreation Area two miles to the right from the booth. Since the pond is small it makes it easy for parents to keep an eye on their children from the beach. The pond’s clear water will keep you coming back.

Martindale Beach is located in Kensington Metropark. There is a Splash Pad and two 240-foot slides for the kids to play on while the adults relax on the beach or grab a bite to eat. You can access this beach off Huron River Parkway.

Maple Beach is located inside Kensington Metropark on the western side of the park. There you can either chill out on the beach, buy a rental, or play on the playground. Maple Beach is located on Maple Beach Drive.

Taylor’s Beach Campground is in Howell, Michigan on Burkhart Road. Their beach is next level with paddle boards, kayak rentals, a swimming area, and inflatable water structures. A perfect place for the family to escape the summer heat.

Within Scofield Park lies Thompson Lake. To get to Thompson Lake take Thompson Street from downtown Howell to enter the park. Sit on this sandy beach and watch as boats zoom by. There are public bathrooms available for use. If you get sick of the beach, head up the hill and have a picnic with a view.

Pinckney Recreation Area has 3 different lakes for you to choose from. Halfmoon Lake offers clear water, a volleyball court, and a playground. You can access this beach on Hankerd Road. Silver Lake beach is a gorgeous beach with amazing amenities including concessions, playground, volleyball court, fishing pier, and more. You can get to Silver Lake via Silver Hill Road. Lastly, there is Bruin Lake which is only open to campers but can be accessed by Kaiser Road.

Brighton Recreation Area
Bishop Lake is located inside of Brighton Recreation Area. The perfect place for the kids to explore the swimming area, volleyball court, picnic tables, fishing pier, and more. To go to the beautiful Bishop Lake take Chilson Road into the park.
