📍: Kensington Metropark

Kensington Metropark is a birding hot spot as many species migrate to the area during the warmer months. This Metropark is one of the best places to hand-fee birds in southeast Michigan. While you wander the scenic trails of the Metropark, you’ll be surrounded by many varieties of birds waiting to fly right into your hand – with the correct food of course.

Kicking off the first weekend of May, the Brighton Howell Area has multiple chances for you to explore local farmers, crafters, and vendors at an area Farmers’ Market! While at Howell or Brighton’s market, explore each shop, eatery, and bakery to round out your visit!

Visit Local and Township Parks

The Brighton Howell Area has local and township parks that are completely free to visit. Manly Bennett Park is a one-stop shop that allows kids to release energy on the playground and jungle gym. This township park offers hiking and biking trails and a disc golf course. Genoa Township Park features three different playgrounds, a water misting feature, and walkable paths. Other area parks offer many of the same features and are the perfect spot to include in your spring getaway without breaking the bank.
