Genoa Charter Township Park
Genoa Charter Township Park is a popular park destination with plenty of amenities for all ages. The park has three playgrounds, a water misting feature, a sled hill, a .66 mile walking path, two regulation-sized athletic fields, a swing set for all ages, picnic tables, a pavilion with accessible heated bathrooms, and a warming area.
Three playgrounds are designed for ages 2 to 5 and 5 to 12, with swing sets, slides, and climbing structures. The soothing water misting feature cools kids and adults off during summer fun at the park. It’s near the water fountain with a ground-level fountain for your pet.
The fields are around the Genoa Charter Township Park pavilion, with heated restrooms and shaded picnic tables open all year. A walking path circles the Hall, flanking the soccer fields and extending north to the Fire Station. The path is open to all and is open to all to enjoy. Many visitors have reported seeing wildlife along the path, including hawks, sandhill cranes, herons, and deer.
The sledding hill is open anytime the snow starts falling. With a bright stadium-like light, you can continue sledding until the park closes at 10 p.m. The sled hill has a vertical drop of approximately 40 feet and a run length of over 200 feet, exhilarating fun for all ages. The nearby pavilion has heated bathrooms and a warming area open year-round. All are welcome to enjoy the winter fun for free at the sledding hill.
Two lit regulation-sized athletic fields are available for lease for organized sports. Reservations can be made through Howell Area Parks and Recreation at (517) 546 0693.
