Jane Tasch Performing Arts Theater
The iconic Jane Tasch Performing Arts Theater is home to the Pinckney Players Theater Group. If you’re looking for a vibrant celebration of arts and culture, look no further than the showcases at this theater. You’ll notice the theater’s boldface in brown brick facing the M-36 Highway. Inside, the theater can seat 900 patrons: 600 on the main floor and 300 on the balcony.
The Pinckney Players are the stars of this stage; each season, a new production features local talent in a big-stage way. Enjoy performances like the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Charlotte’s Web, and the Music Man. Every show brings a dynamic, passionate performance to the Jane Tasch stage. One commonality between each performance is the single flower left on the stage as a tribute to the woman whose ideas paved the way for the theater.
The Jane Tasch Performing Arts Center, built in 1980, has served as a connecting point between the community and live theater for decades. Its namesake, Jane Tasch herself, was an educator in the Pinckney area for many years and was a catalyst in bringing theater to the public.
