1. Heavenly Scent Herb Farm

Heavenly Scent Herb Farm is one of the most picturesque spots to take in the spring season. Spend hours strolling through the expansive gardens and take in the lush landscape of gorgeous flowers and herbs. Don’t leave empty headed! Head into their store to find one-of-a-kind designs, botanicals, home decor, garden elements, body care products, and so much more.
2. Brighton Riding Stables
📍: Brighton

There truly is no better way to explore the trails of Brighton Recreation Area than on horseback. This spring, head to the Brighton Riding Stable for tranquil one or two-hour trail rides for all ages. If you’ve never ridden a horse before, don’t worry! The friendly staff at Brighton Riding Stable offer lessons to ensure that you can safely ride the well-mannered horses.
3. Howell Nature Center
📍: Howell

Howell Nature Center, the areas only teaching zoo, is the ultimate playground for kids and adults! Hike along the trail to see and learn about a variety of animals that call the sanctuary home. Run wild through Alexandria’s Naturescape and the Tree House – a natural children’s play around that covers over 7,000 square feet with suspension bridges, platforms, sand dunes, a waterfall, and many other fun features.
4. Farmers Markets
📍: Brighton, Hartland & Howell

Nothing says springtime like the kickoff to Farmers Market season. Kicking off in May, find locally grown flowers, fresh produce, handmade arts & crafts, and so much more at three different area Farmers Markets. Located right downtown, Howell’s Sunday Farmers’ Market allows visitors to stroll through the historic area housing boutique shops, coffee shops, and restaurants. Downtown Brighton Farmers Market is held by the Brighton Mill Pond conveniently located to locally owned merchants. Stock up on locally grown fruits, vegetables, and meats at the Hartland Farmers Market.
5. Golf Courses
When the snow melts and the grass begins to poke through, its time to grab your golf clubs to hit the greens. The Brighton Howell Area offers 18 golf courses with a range of terrains, difficulties, and scenery. If you’re not looking to play a full game of golf, head to Tap-In’s Range to practice your golf swing. The driving range is powered by TrackMan so you can track the power and progression of your drive!
