Visiting a new town doesn’t mean you can’t have a fresh, healthy meal! Livingston County is home to four farmers markets, tons of farms, and plenty of farm-to-table food options for you and your family to enjoy during your trip to the Brighton-Howell Area.
Farmers Markets
On weekends in May through October, you can visit Brighton, Howell, and Hartland, for farmers markets featuring fresh and eclectic options from local farmers and farms around the state. Enjoy a summer or fall day while you shop for local produce, baked goods, plants, flowers, crafts and more!

U-Pick Stands and Farms
If you want to make a day out of your foodie adventure, head into the country to a cider mill, farm, orchard, or produce stand for more fresh food options! Whether you’re picking blueberries at Hazen’s Farm, sunflowers and fruit at Spicer Orchards, walking through the greenhouses at Alexander’s Farm Market, or flower bouquets at Raindance Organic Farms, you and your family will love the sights, sounds, and smells of the great outdoors in Livingston County. Be sure to stop by Sofia’s Produce on Latson and M-59 on your way into downtown Howell. This mobile farmers market features gorgeous hanging flower baskets and delicious Howell melons, which they get from a local farmer, Gerald Knight.
