Various Dates | Island Lake Lantern Hikes

📍: Island Lake Recreation Area

Walk along the Hickory Ridge hiking trail in the Island Lake Recreation Area, and let the light of lanterns and the moon guide you. This self-guided hike features lanterns lining the one-mile trail, with a campfire warming station at the halfway point.

November 22nd | Holiday Glow & Christmas Market

📍: Downtown Brighton

Kick off the holiday season with the Annual Holiday Glow and Christmas Market in downtown Brighton. This event takes over Main Street through the downtown, offering holiday-inspired activities and shopping experiences. There will be plenty of kid-friendly activities like the Jollie Choo-Choo Train, pictures with live reindeer, a Nativity petting farm, reindeer games, and a photo op with Santa!

November 28th | Fantasy of Lights

📍: Downtown Howell

Ring in the holiday season with the ultimate parade with illuminating lights dancing down Main Street in downtown Howell. The Fantasy of Lights parade showcases thousands of lights on each float, highlighting various businesses and organizations. The event starts at 3:00 pm with family, a 5K run/walk, and a visit from the big guy himself. This is a must-experience during the holiday season!

November 28th – December 23rd | Visit Santa

📍: Spicer Orchards

Take a ride on the Spicer Express Musical train to Santa’s Cabin or the Gingerbread Barn this holiday season! Each location offers a private visit with Santa, reindeer food to take with you, magical lights, a fireplace, and a place to warm up in the cold weather. Each ticket includes a warm donut and a drink. This event happens each Thursday through Sunday from the day after Thanksgiving to December 23rd.

📍: Howell Opera House

Come out of the cold and into Howell’s Historic Opera House for a Winter Market! This market is the best place to find seasonal products, jewelry, locally made and sourced products, and more.

December 6th | Christmas In The Ville

📍: Downtown Fowlerville

Each year, Christmas in the Ville takes over downtown Fowlerville to show its community pride and holiday spirit. Kids’ activities, visits with Santa, and other holiday-inspired attractions will take place throughout the day. The crown jewel of the event kicks off at 6:00 pm with the beloved parade featuring over 40 hot air balloon baskets lighting up the winter night sky.

Various Dates | Ciao!Jazz Music Series

📍: Brighton

Step into the enhanced lower level of Ciao Amici’s in downtown Brighton for an evening of classical jazz music and the musical stylings of various artists with the Ciao!Jazz concert series. Each event offers two different show times – 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm. Before or after the two-set performance, head upstairs for an authentic Italian dinner.
