Pat Wright and Shelly Bell started their food service journey during their employment at the University of Michigan, after nearly two decades of running the Greek Life Food Service at the UofM campus and after starting their own catering company, they switched gears into buying a closed establishment and turning it into 36 Social!

Inspired by the events of Prohibition in the United States, 36 Social is a tribute to the unprecedented times that required abstinence from alcohol. Their vision was to add to the community of Hamburg, to create a comfortable, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy delicious food and spirits.
